Election Briefs...

It is rumoured that this year the 3 main contestants for the Treasury Benches are basing their electoral propaganda on the belief that the average elector does not know what he, in fact, votes for. "The average voter does not give much thought to politics," said a prominent M.P. recently. Half-Truth suggests that perhaps the politician does not give much thought to the average voter, either. No doubt, in line with overseas trends, the parties will each attempt to create a party image for the voters in November. Half-Truth suggests that the Labour Party have a ready-made party image in the Government Tourist and Travel Bureau.
