Pickmere, A. R., Dentist, Whangarei. Mr.Pickmere was born in Awanui North in 1869, and is the eldest son of Mr. R. Pickmere, of Remuera, Auckland. He received his education at the Auckland College and Grammar School and adopted the profession of a dentist, for which he served his apprenticeship with Mr. Windsor, of Auckland, passed his examinations at Dunedin, and was duly qualified in 1892. The following year he began practice in Whangarei and has succeeded in establishing an excellent connection. Mr. Pickmere takes an active interest in aquatic and athletic sports, as well as in musical matters. He was married in December, 1896, to a daughter of Mr. D. C. Wilson, county engineer of Whangarei.
