The North East Valley Baptist Church

The North East Valley Baptist Church . The first portion of this church was erected in 1890, and since that date it has been enlarged twice. It is a fine brick building with Oamaru stone facings, and is capable of seating 250 people. It was originally a branch of the Hanover Street church, but has been independent since 1901. The site was the gift of Mr. G. Calder, and the bricks for the building were given by Mr Longworth. There are the usual Young Men's Class, Christian Endeavour classes, and Sunday School classes in connection with the church.
