SAXTON, John Waring 1806–1866

Arrived Nelson with his brother Charles 1842: was on Nelson Provincial Council 1853–57. His panorama of early Nelson was used to page 212 illustrate E. Jerningham Wakefield's Adventure in New Zealand pub. 1845. His sketchbooks 1849 are in Hocken. Also represented in Turnbull.
