Born Gloucester, England; studied with father G. W. Carrington page 62 FRAS, surveyor and landscape artist. Arrived Otago and became Education Board teacher at Pine Hill. Painted mainly in oils. Exhibited: OAS 1882–1935; NZ International Ex, Chch 1906–07. Represented: NAG by an oil of Dunedin, and Hocken.
