EYRE, Jane 1875–1953

Born Auckland: studied Elam School of Art, Auckland in 1890s and later taught there. Studied also under G. P. Nerli while Nerli was in Auckland 1897. Nerli's portrait of Jane Eyre is in ACAG. Exhibited: ASA 1895–1927, in 1895 won silver medal for study in monochrome. Represented: Leys Institute, Auckland, Hocken.
