NICHOLSON, Sophia Elizabeth

Youngest child of Christopher Armytage Nicholson of Balrath Burry, County Meath, born sometime between 1828–35. Made undated copies, either from the watercolours and wash drawings in John Guise Mitford's sketchbook (presumably sent back to his family who lived about 30 miles from her), or from the copies page 182 already made by her close connection John Staples Alexander. Her sketchbook is given as that of S. E. Nicholson and is now in a New Zealand private collection.
