At the last A.G.M., various ardent speakers spent approximately 30 minutes debating whether to omit all the clauses of a proposed motion or not. This would leave, we found, a statement providing for the appointment of a committee—with undefined numbers and powers. Margaret Munro objected, but was declared out of order by the chairman.
