Later, he passed this on to Mr Laurenson.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on the same day, Mr M. McKinlay, president of the university National Party Club, Mr Logan and Mr Hardy returned to visit Mr Laurenson.

Mr Laurenson said that as far as Security knew Mr Boshier was not a fellow traveller and not a Communist.

He also indicated that the information on Mr Boshier dated badk only to 1962.

Mr Laurenson then said he would ring up American Security and in the presence of the committee members, apparently did so.

However, his contact was not in town and he could not obtain any information when he rang.

Mr Laurenson suggested that the club should get in touch with Mr Kevin Sinclair of N.Z. Truth and the story would, he said, be blown up. He made a phone call in the presence of the committee members, but found that Mr Sinclair was out of town.
