Europe success flops over here

America and Australia, but was a flop when it opened its season in Auckland in February. Morgan has been hailed as the best British film since This Sporting Life.
Directed by Karel Reisz (Saturday Night and Sunday Morning). Morgan stars academy - award winning Vanessa Redgrave. It is based on David Mercer's successful television play. A Suitable Case For Treatment and co-stars Shakespearean actor David Warner.
Of Morgan, a critic in the prestigious film journal published at Berkeley University. Film Quarterly, said: "Morgan is so genuinely funny and inventive as almost to defy adverse criticism. . . . It explores emotions, interchanges, desires and cautions, how; people whether wild or prudent are captives of their feelings with a subtlety long absent from the British screen and many others."
