Exec, condemns Rhodesia

Exec, condemns Rhodesia

The executive is sending a letter to the de facto Government of Rhodesia condemning its execution of three Africans.

The chairwoman of the House Committee, Helen Paske, moved "That the Executive write to the Government of Southern Rhodesia condemning the execution of three Africans by the de facto Government of Southern Rhodesia after these Africans had been reprieved by the Crown, and is distressed that human beings are being thus callously used as pawns in the game of international politics."

The motion was seconded by the National Officer, Candy MacGrath, and passed with the dissent of the Public Relations Officer, Rhys Harrison, and the abstention of the Social Officer, Malcolm Grover, recorded.
