But I shall be busy,
very, busy,
with
Much to do,
people to see,
books to read,
other commitments and
weighty responsibility,
Much on my mind,
in my mind,
under control,
cog on a different wheel now,
crouching down,
sharp,
hanging on tight,
improving the shining minute with
Business,
Puritanically
timefilling,
shoving wads of
clay value
in the cracks of my life.
Keeping out the dark for fear there be
no stars.
You will not ride my new merry-go-round,
going very fast,
going nowhere . . .
But even so I shall be here
when you return . . .
