Byron is a 3rd year BCA-BA student who has taken an active interest in both Cultural and Sporting Student Affairs.

At present he holds the following positions:

Treasurer of the Cultural Affairs Committee.
Member of the Cultural Affairs Council.
Student Representative on UE, Bursary, Scholarships Board. Cultural Clubs Auditor.
President of the Squash Club. Executive of NZUSRC.

Byron states:

"If elected:

(1)	I would ensure that grants are fairly distributed. Having audited all club accounts I have gained an integral knowledge of how money is being spent, - this is a necessary prerequisite to a fair distribution of grants.
(2)	I would ensure that grants are' paid earlier in the year so that clubs are not inhibited in their activities.
(3)	I would like to see the introduction of a club day during orientation week, where students could visit displays and decide on which club they wish to join.
(4)	I would like to see the Cultural Affairs Council taking a much mere active part in Cultural Activities.

"I have no political affiliations and am standing purely from the viewpoint of interest in Cultural Affairs."
