Vance Henderson

Vance Henderson, LL.B., doing Honours this year. Well known at VUC as Senior Easter Tournament Delegate 1949. Chairman New Zealand University Tournament Committee 1949, 'Junior Winter Tournament Delegate 1948, Extrav Social and Oil Fuel Controller 1949, Blues Committee 1949, NZU Blue in shooting three times, VUC Blue four times, four years Army and Air Force, President and Past-Vice and Secretary Defence Rifle Club, Committee Miniature Rifle Club. Past Sec. Rowing Club, ex Gym Controller, previous Exec, member, four years Weir House. Qualified in academic, sporting, and administrative spheres.

Believes that an Exec, member should be there solely to put what he can towards the student cause, and enjoy doing it for its own sake. Wants cigarettes, chocolate, drinks to be sold in the cafe, the Exec, to take up the Weir House meal position, more stringent financial policy, beautification of present Gym surroundings by terraced lawns, a special hut for a mixed common room comfortably appointed.
