June 3.—Supreme Court opened: Mr. Justice Stephen held a levée, numerously attended; being neither criminal nor civil business, the Court was adjourned till 3rd September; non-attending jurymen were directed to be summoned.

June 6.—Dinner given by the Magistrates to Mr. Justice Stephen to celebrate the opening of the Supreme Court; Her Majesty's health was drank very coldly, and the Governor omitted.
