The Spike or Victoria College Review 1937
Fable
Fable
This poet and painter
Outrageously new,
Are stranger and quainter
Than rhubarb at Kew.
One incessantly stages
Orgasms of rime,
Bestrewing his pages
With 'gristle and grime.
His annex plans pictures
Which anticonform
To Mr. Bell's strictures
On Significant Form.
But as not follows kont,
They'll grow senile and flabby,
And both'll soon rot
Safe and sound in the Abbey.
